Despite the recent news that Apple’s former Chief Executive Steve Jobs has left the company due to ill health, Apple continue onwards and upwards with the imminent release of both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4s. Few details have been released about how these models will differ from previous releases, but the internet is full of both rumours and speculation about what the phones will be like and what iPhone 4s deals will be available when the phones come to market here in the UK.
What does seem certain is that there will be a new generation of iPhone on the market shortly. Experts cannot agree on whether there will be a completely new version called the iPhone 5, or an updated version of the iPhone 4, named the iPhone 4s. An alternative name for this phone being widely discussed is the iPhone 5 Lite, which perhaps more accurately describes what Apple is trying to achieve with these new handsets. Many people think that both of these phones will be released, either simultaneously or within a few weeks of each other. Early reports predicted a release date of September, although this now seems very unlikely. So what will this new iPhone 4S look like and how will it differ from current iPhone models? Again, Apple is being very secretive about their future plans. Other rumours about new features on the new iPhone handsets include the possibility of including a small webcam, and redesigning the look of the buttons on both the touchscreen and the housing of the phone.

When the new iPhone models are released, it is likely that the large mobile phone retailers will all be offering good iPhone 4 deals. As always, the best iPhone 4s deals will be available for customers who are prepared to sign up for a monthly contract lasting at least 24 months. Given that the current iPhone models are available for around £30 to £60 per month depending on the package chosen, the new iPhone 4s will come in at around the same prices. Pay as you go customers may get a better deal if the rumours are true about the iPhone 4s being a cheaper version of the current handsets. With current handset models retailing from anywhere around £500 for the 16GB version to £600 for the 32GB version, it is hoped that the new price points will take at least £100 off these prices giving a 16GB version for £400 and the 32GB for £500. iPhone 4s deals may be even better than this, as the exact specification of the phones is not yet known and Apple may even decide to go for cheaper components and make the iPhone 4 deals even more attractive to customers. iPhone launches are a massive event, and all retailers will be competing fiercely to offer the best iPhone 4s deals. This high level of competition in the market is good news for customers as some shopping around between the different retailers can make sure the best iPhone 4s deals are found.
